Production Support Engineer

Production Support Engineer


Responsibilities:

• To support manufacturing processes for existing and new products.
• Implementation of Design/Process changes.
• To design and implement assembly fixtures.
• To work with other engineers and cell leaders on process improvements.
• Process monitoring and Product Quality reporting.


Requirements (essential):

• Educated to at least degree level in Mechanical/Production Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years experience in a mid/high volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience in use of statistical tools.
• Good problem solving abilities.
• Good “can do” attitude and ability to work well in a team.
• ‘Hands-on’ ability.
• Experience in use of 3D CAD, Unigraphics NX or equivalent.


Requirements (desirable):

• Experience of cable manufacturing processes
• Experience of dispensing systems.
• Experience with application of six sigma tools.
• Experience in use of Lathe, Milling machine and work shop tools.
